Welcome!

Their Excellencies Baron Morgan and Baroness Elizabeth bid you welcome to the web site for the Barony of Twin Moons in the Kingdom of Atenveldt. Our Barony is situated in the east valley of Phoenix, AZ, and is part of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA).

The Barony holds weekly meetings with Fighter Practice promptly at 7:30 pm every Thursday night at Gene Autry Park in Mesa.  Court is held on the last Thursday of each month.  Newcomers are always welcome.

You are welcome to explore our website by using the links on the right side of the page. Our Barony is very friendly and open to visitors and new members. The Newcomer (Chatelaine) page page helps orient those interested in learning what we have to offer, and also shows maps to our weekly fighter and archery practice.

Mid-East Feast 2012
Friday, 20 April 2012
Hail, good gentles all, and pray heed these words!  The time has come once again to join together in revelry and merriment at this year’s Middle East Feast.  Join Their Excellencies Bran and Deletha as they celebrate this renowned event full of shopping, dancing, music, and food!  Come, tantalize your senses with the scents and flavors of expertly prepared delicacies from afar.  Let your body move to the beat of the drums, lose yourself in the sights and sounds of merchants peddling their wares.  Relax with your friends from near and far, share stories, make new acquaintances!

Delight in a wonderful meal, consisting of assorted fresh fruit, hummus and pita, Moroccan Lentil Soup, Chelo (Persian basmati rice), two squash roasted garlic couscous, lentil salad, lemon rosewater chicken, and baklava.  All the recipes for this feast have been graciously provided by Dona Maestra Angela Sara Maria Diaz de Valdes.  Feast space is limited, and available through ACCEPS only.  Turkish coffee will be available, and donations are requested to help offset the cost of this favored beverage.

As is the tradition for this unique event, bring out your carpets and pillows to make your time lounging about more comfortable and more festive.  Please do not bring large items, as the hall will not accommodate larger items well.

Shopping will abound in the foyer, with many fine items available for purchase.  This year we are pleased to again offer on site henna application as well!  A silent auction will also be held, to benefit the general fund of the Barony.  For those who wish, hookah smoking will be allowed on the patio.  A cash bar will be available in the foyer, and the hotel also has a restaurant with American cuisine available for those who do not favor Middle Eastern cuisine.  No outside food or beverages are allowed at the event.

This fantastic event will take place on July 21st from 2pm until midnight at the Hilton Phoenix Airport, 2435 S. 47th St., Phoenix 85034.  Adult members, $15, non members, $20, and youth 6-17, $10.  Adult feasts are $15; youth feasts are $10, prepaid through ACCEPS only.  ACCEPS will be available until July 7th, and no feasts will be sold at the door.

For those who wish to stay onsite, the Hilton is offering a discounted room rate of $69 per night.  Please mention the SCA when reserving your room to receive this rate.  Site is wet, no pets allowed, smoking in designated areas only.  Outside food and beverages are not permitted.

Amenities at the hotel include a complimentary airport shuttle for hotel guests, onsite ATM, gift shop, pool, onsite restaurants and bar, room service, and more.  Please see Hilton.com for more details.
